Former Hereford United player Michael McIndoe has written what is described as an 'explosive new autobiography'.
He says he is 'extremely excited to have released my new book and let people read the true story. The media have had such an avid interest in my life that I think it's about time I set the record straight'.
The book is available from Amazon in paperback or kindle.
Former professional footballer, Michael McIndoe is now probably best known for allegedly being
the mastermind behind the biggest case of fraud to hit the British
game. But what really happened to all those so-called missing millions?
For the first time ever, the controversial Scotsman speaks out in his
new book - Wildling.
Raised on the notorious Calders estate in Edinburgh, McIndoe battled through
drugs and violent gang life during the 1990s until he was forced to
make a choice between a turbulent lifestyle and his love for the
game. He pursued his dream and got his first footballing apprenticeship
with Luton Town but not long after he turned pro, McIndoe’s alcohol
addiction caught up with him.
After a stint in the Priory, and Paul Merson as his sponsor, the
left-winger went on to play in excess of 500 matches for ten English
football clubs, including Wolverhampton Wanderers, Bristol City,
Barnsley, Derby County, Coventry City and Hereford United. The complex
character is infamous for his honest appraisals and McIndoe certainly
doesn’t hold back when it comes to revealing his experiences with some
very well known managers and teammates.
Since
leaving football, hundreds of articles have been printed about Michael
McIndoe, but he has maintained his silence until now. McIndoe opens up
about Marbella, London nightclubs, bankruptcy and the Scotland Yard
investigation. Wildling, is his explosive life story…
