As well as speaking to the Hereford media, Peter Beadle also spoke to Puritans Radio after last night's 1-0 win at Banbury.
"I thought it was a tough game for twenty minutes and then we started to gain the upper hand," said the Hereford manager.
"Towards the end of the first half I thought we were far more on top than you were.
"Second half started the same way then you took the upper hand and on another day if a chance had dropped your way might have got an equaliser.
"But we managed to defend fairly well and managed to keep you at bay."
Asked if titles are won with games like tonight Beadle agreed.
"It's a good result. Coming here not an easy place to play. Mike has got his team well organised, well drilled. Decent footballers with threats across the pitch.
"So to come here and win 1-0 is a decent marker for us so we are really pleased with that.
"We thought we might have a distraction with Saturday coming up but we've managed to get past that and I thought the boys put on a really good performance.
"It wasn't a polished second half as you put us under so much pressure but we defended stoutly and probably deserved to win in the end."
Keyon Reffell scored Hereford's winning goal from a Ryan Green long cross.
"It was a fantastic strike. We were questioning the long pass from the centre-half but it dropped to him and we were right behind him as he turned and hit it. It was straight as a dye, it didn't move at all.
"I didn't see it go in as someone stepped in my way but it was a fantastic strike and a goal to win any match really.
"I thought it was a fantastic game and certainly a game of two halves."
The interview then turned to the Hereford support at the game.
"I just said to our press down there we owe as much from tonight to our supporters as we spent a lot of time defending second half. They stayed in good voice and stuck behind the boys and I think when you've got that number behind the goal cheering the lads on and urging them to do well it's like having that extra player on the pitch.
"They deserve a lot of credit because they've travelled in numbers. A game on a Tuesday night is never easy when you are travelling cross-country midweek.
"They've stayed behind the boys and we've rewarded them with a nice 1-0 victory."
Finally to Saturday's FA Cup game at Eastleigh.
"They are a well established Conference side now. Iyt's rumoured about the money they pay and the budget they've got.
"You look at their squad and it's littered with League players as are their staff.
"But we have faith in ourselves. We're on a really good run at the moment so we should be confident going down there.
"We'll go there and try and play and cause them as many problems as we can.
"You never know what happens, it's eleven v eleven on the day and if we can get a result it will be great."
