Hereford have released a statement that commends the behaviour of the travelling supporters after last night's match at Banbury.
Hereford FC would like to praise the restraint and overall behaviour of Hereford fans who were on the receiving end of a considerable amount of abuse and provocation at the end of last night’s game.
A small group, unconnected to both Hereford FC and Banbury, had gathered outside the away exit gate shortly before the full time whistle, with the intention of intimidating and trying to provoke the Hereford fans as they exited the stadium.
Reports from Hereford stewards who had been employed by the host club praised the behaviour of the Hereford fans who showed restraint under considerable provocation.
