Banbury Look Forward To Hereford Visit

This from Banbury FC:

The phoenix club Hereford, a replacement for the defunct Hereford United, are now in their third season of football having won the Midland Alliance and then the Southern League South & West Division championships in their first two. They have made a very good start to life at Southern League Premier Division level as well, currently in third place and having lost just the one league game this season. They are also one of just three Premier Division clubs to make it through to the Fourth Qualifying Round of the FA Cup.
Whilst we have never met the current Hereford Football Club older supporters will remember the games we had in the FA Trophy against Hereford United back in the early 1970s, particularly season 1970/71 when we reached the last 16 and at that stage held the then Southern League leaders to a 2-2 draw here before losing narrowly 1-0 in the replay at Edgar Street.
As for ourselves things have not been going our way result wise in the last few games. For after our disappointing exit from the FA Cup here against Shildon we have last week exited both the Southern League Cup, losing at Didcot Town on penalties, before going down 3-1 in a league game at Basingstoke Town. We were close to getting something out of all those games, but as they say “that is football for you!”
For this match crowd segregation, on Thames Valley Police advice, will be in operation. Hereford supporters should use the Town End car park and turnstiles and will have access to the Town End and the end block of seats in the covered stand.
Banbury supporters should use the Clubhouse car park, enter the ground by the Clubhouse turnstiles and will have access to the rest of the ground including the Clubhouse.
Stewards will be on hand to direct supporters as appropriate
As well as allowing parking on the old Tramway Railway car park as usual, Chiltern Railways have very kindly agreed that any one attending the game can use parking in the main station car park. Vouchers for this will be issued on the evening by stewards at the top of Station Approach.
Portaloos and a mobile food unit will be in operation in the area between the main stand and the Town End for Hereford supporters. Limited bar facilities will be provided out of Ann’s tea bar. This will shut at half time or sooner if circumstances dictate that.
Turnstiles and bar and food facilities will be open from 6.15pm
Supporters are advised to arrive early.
Away supporters are advised to use OX16 5AB for their Sat-Nav as the club’s official postcode may well take you elsewhere!
