Long Trip To Royston

Hereford FC face a long trip to play Royston tomorrow in a Southern Premier League fixture at Garden Walk.

The away game at Royston follows a three and a hour hour bus journey to St Neots two weeks ago and another to Kempston next Saturday for a FA Cup tie.

At least it won't be as warm as it was at St Neots.

Manager Peter Beadle will have several players back including Mike Symons and Dara O'Shea, both have been suspended, and Gethin Hill, who missed last Saturday's game as he was cup-tied. Bradley Williams won't be available as he is set to play for Lads Club.

How many, if any, of those players carrying knocks will be available remains to be seen. Dan Preston, Lance Smith, Calvin Dinsley and Jack Deaman have missed several games recently. However Preston and Dinsley are back in training.

Beadle was pleased with his sides 8-0 win over Godalming last Saturday. But it was against a team from a lower league.

"We were at home and expected to win but we still performed to a level that was more than adequate and I though we looked nice and bright and it was exactly what we needed," said Beadle afterwards.

Hereford played Royston at Edgar Street at the end of last season after the two teams had topped their respective leagues. But tomorrow is a more important game and will probably be played at a higher tempo.

Royston are 12th in the table whereas Hereford are 10th. However Royston are yet to win at home in the League having drawn with Dunstable and lost to Stratford. A better result for the Crows in the FA Cup last Saturday when they defeated Dunstable 2-1.

On the road Hereford have drawn at Kings Langley and won at St Neots.

Admission to the game is £10 for Adults, £6 for Concessions and £2 for Juniors.

Please note there is no parking at the ground. Royston suggest supporters use the Town Hall car park which is a five minute walk. However they may also be some street parking close-by.
