In an interview with BBC Hereford and Worcester, Peter Beadle has spoken about the signing of Calvin Dinsley who has joined the club from Gloucester.
"We're really pleased to have him back," said the Hereford manager.
"I spoke to Tim (Tim Harris - Gloucester manager) a week or ten days ago and Tim made me aware about their plans for Calvin.
"Disappointed for Calvin himself but as he would admit himself he's had an interrupted season with injuries and has never really got himself going.
"But we saw in him, in the month we had with him, the ability he brings to the table.
"When we knew he could be available we've tried to do the best we could to get him in and he was only too happy to come in.
"So we've added a quality player to the group.
"He's not quite right yet but he's not a million miles away.
"We were not looking to change it but this was an opportunity that landed at our feet and one we felt we didn't want to turn down.
"Obviously we are looking at next season too for Calvin if we can, so it's one of those ones that's worked out right for everybody.
"It gives us a bit more competition although we've already got four or five including Rory high quality midfield players but Calvin will come in and put pressure on the others."
