Claridge Signs Two Pre Hereford Game

Salisbury FC manager Steve Claridge has brought in two players to bolster his squad before the game against Hereford on Saturday.

This from Salisbury FC:

Striker Jesse Waller Lassen and midfield player Franklyn Clarke will go straight into the squad for Saturday’s match, which sees the visitors looking to clinch the Southern League South and West title and Salisbury looking to further their quest for a home game in the play-off semi-finals.

Waller Lassen has signed on dual registration from Team Solent while Clarke joins after having been released by Southern Premier outfit Dorchester Town.

Waller Lassen, 24, was born in London and began his career in the Tottenham Hotspur youth ranks before joining Bishop’s Stortford. He is the Team Solent captain and led them to the Wessex League Cup last season.

Liverpool-born Clarke, also 24, played for Blackfield and Langley and Wimborne Town last season before being offered a contract with National League side York City, who released him to join Dorchester.

“These are two quality players,” said Claridge. “We needed to strengthen our squad ahead of the run-in and hopefully the play-offs, and I am delighted to get them.

“Jesse was a thorn in our side playing for Solent last year and Franklyn also caught my eye when he did well in Blackfield’s 2-1 win at the Ray Mac last season.”
