After his side picked up three points against North Leigh, Bulls boss Pete Beadle gave his thoughts to the local media.
“They took a few stern words at half time," Beadle told Radio Hereford FC's Keith Hall.
“I was really disappointed with the first half performance. We looked flat, nervous and edgy for the first time.
“We had a good chat at half time, and the players should be fearless in their games. They’re at home in front of their fans, their fans have been brilliant and always support them.
“We’ve performed week-in, week-out at top levels. Today for the first half we were well below where we should’ve been.
“Second half I thought we were excellent, it was a complete contrast. North Leigh hardly had an effort other than a few balls into the box which we dealt with well.
“We looked far more comfortable second half, whereas the first half we quite more frantic."
Keith Hall then suggested that Hereford had the confidence to keep the ball in the second half.
“It’s easy to sit in the stand, stand behind the goal or for me on the touchline to expect them to do it, but even with a 10-point lead and a game in hand possibly (BN – Didcot), it’s understandable that they’re going to be a little bit nervous.
“There’s always a ‘what if’.
"But we can’t worry about’ what if’, we’ve got to take care of what we need to take care of.
“We scored some good goals and it could have been more in the end.”
