That number will mean the highest ever gate at the ground and tickets can still be purchased from the club office on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning until 11am.
“To be honest, we’ve been working on this game since the
fixtures came out last summer," said Slimbridge club spokesman Tim Blake as reported by the Gazette.
"We’re dealing with logistics that we
never normally have to consider.
“We have made the game all ticket to enable us to be able to plan for the size of crowd on the day, and have called in an external agent to handle that side of things.
“We’ve arranged extra food and drink outlets for the Hereford fans,
extra toilet facilities and additional stewarding – we have mobilised a
whole army of people who are assisting us on the day, and we thank them
all for their efforts.”
