Two former Hereford United players were in the Hull squad that defeated Manchester United last night.
Sam Clucas is a regular this season but Jarrod Bowen has only made seven appearances as yet.
The Hull Daily Mail had praise for Bowen.
Last night marked City's first
win over United since 1974 and it is hugely encouraging that Josh Tymon
and Jarrod Bowen, two graduates of the Tigers' youth system, played such
an important part.
Twenty-year-old Bowen may have only arrived at City in 2014 after spending his formative years at Hereford United, but his exploits this season are a testament to the development work done by recently-departed youth coach Tony Pennock.
Bowen's only previous start this season came against Exeter City in the second round of the EFL Cup back in August. Silva threw him in at the deep end last night and he coped with the occasion admirably.
Confident and tricky on the ball, Bowen can be satisfied with his shift against one of the most expensively-assembled sides in the land. That's now seven appearances in all competitions for the forward this season and another run-out at Fulham on Sunday can probably be expected
