Evesham Preview

The first game for Hereford FC this year takes place tomorrow at Edgar Street, kick-off 3pm, and it should be a cracker with visitors Evesham in the promotion race.

Hereford top the League with 63 points and have only dropped two points at home all season. Evesham are third with 48 points and have won eight of their twelve away games.

Hereford  manager Peter Beadle and assistant manager Steve Jenkins watched Evesham lose to Shortwood on Boxing Day.

"Tough game, really tough game," said Beadle after last Tuesday's game at Bishops Cleeve.

"Pitch was good, two teams who throw everything at it. Two organised disciplined sides.

"It was good to go along and watch it.

"We saw some strengths, we also saw a few things we can work on.

"It's always a worthwhile trip when you go and see teams you are going to play.

"I thought on the day it could have gone either way. It came down to a bit of quality from a set piece."

Beadle will be hoping that Jamie Molyneux will be fully fit. The former Westfields player was an unused substitute last Tuesday.

He should have both John Mills and Ryan Green available after both had knocks last Tuesday but defender Clayton Fortune remains a doubt.

However Pablo Haysham will miss out as he is suspended. He will not be able to play until the away game at Mangotsfield on January 10th.

Tickets for tomorrow's game are very limited. As of mid-day today there are about 100 terrace tickets on sale for the Len Weston stand. These are available online until midnight tonight unless sold beforehand. A few seated tickets remain unsold in block E. They can be purchased from the club in person from 10am tomorrow.

Supporters driving to the game are reminded that parking near to the ground could be difficult especially given the gate could be close to 4,000. The advice is to arrive in good time.

The bars will be open from 12noon.
