Rivers Departs Edgar Street

It has been announced that goalkeeper Harvey Rivers is set to join Southern League Premier league side Cirencester Town.

Rivers played in the first ever Hereford FC game, a friendly away at Malvern in July, and was a regular between the sticks until the arrival of Martin Horsell in early December.

Commenting on Rivers' decision to leave the Bulls, manager Pete Beadle told the OS:

"Harvey is at an age where he wants to be playing week in week out. With Martin Horsell here I can't guarantee Harvey first team football each week.

"By joining Cirencester, Harvey has been told he will be their number one, and I wouldn’t want to get in the way of that.

"I totally understand Harveys decision and would like to thank him for all of his efforts last season, not only on the pitch, but also on the training ground."
