Evesham's Appeal Against Move To Be Heard On June 21st.

Evesham Town's appeal to the FA against a decision to place them in Northern Premier League Division One South will be heard on Tuesday, June 21.

The Worcestershire based club had expected to stay in the Southern League South and West and therefore play against newly promoted Hereford and Salisbury. But after champions Cinderford Town decided they wanted to stay in the league Evesham were moved.

“It does seem unfair as the club were looking forward to this season, especially with the likes of Salisbury and Hereford coming into the league, and we have had two reasonably successful seasons," said manager Paul Collicutt as reported by the Worcester News.

Evesham have had a lot of support against the proposed move from other clubs.

"We are very grateful for the fantastic support we have received so far from other non-league clubs across the country on this matter. It is very much appreciated," said a spokesman for the club.
