UITC Statement About Brewer's Appointment

This from UITC:

Liam Brewer appointed Community Manager

United in the Community, an independent charity and the official player pathway into Hereford FC, is delighted to announce that Liam Brewer will take over as full time Community Manager, heading up the organisation from 1st September 2016.

He will report into Nick Vaughan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees and will be responsible for day to day management of the organisation and leading all aspects of its outreach.

The appointment comes at an exciting time for the Charity following another successful season for the Academy and Under 18s youth teams - with an ever expanding programme of activity in the community, both in primary schools and soccer schools taking place during the holidays.

In a statement the Board of Trustees said: ''This appointment highlights the ambition amongst the Trustees to grow and develop UITC into an organisation that thrives on improvement with big ambitions to extend all its core programmes. Liam has demonstrated over a number of years, culminating in his role this season as Academy Manager, that he is more than capable of taking on this position. We couldn’t be more delighted to have him leading the organisation.

Liam commented: “I am very excited to be taking on the role as Community Manager for UITC. I have been involved with their coaching for six years and am extremely grateful to the organisation (both present colleagues and past colleagues) for developing me as a coach and helping me achieve what I have achieved so far.

He added: “I am really looking forward to bringing the football club even closer to its community, developing all our community programmes and building greater relationships with schools, clubs and organisations throughout the County.”

“As a very passionate Bulls fans first and foremost, it’s a huge opportunity for me to put even more time into developing our player pathway to the Hereford FC senior team, from the community, foundation stages to the Academy and the U18s.”
