"You look at their results recently and they've done really well the top end of the teams and they've had a good run of results recently so we knew it wasn't going to be easy," said Beadle.
"And it turned out not to be, but we're delighted to have a clean sheet and get three points in the bag."
Hereford are now ten points ahead of Alvechurch.
"It's a big gap but they know if they win their games in hand they'll only be four points behind again.
"Something you look at it and you know that if they slip up once then the gap is even bigger because there are less games to catch up with.
"We've got a ten point lead at the minute but we've still got some really tough games to come. We've got to play third, fourth and fifth before the end of the season so we've just got to keep doing what we're doing."
Beadle made substitutions in the second half and Quorn had a man sent off. Were they turning points in the game for you?
"Yes, of course they were. When teams have gone down to ten men we've done pretty well but probably for the first time today when they went down to ten men and we got the goal they actually created some chances against us which I was disappointed with.
"But we weathered it but we've got to manage games a bit better when we are in front. In recent games we've been one up or one down and we're letting teams get back into the game. It's a habit we need to get out of.
"We need to get in front and know that worst case senario we're going to win one nil, we're going to work hard and sometimes be defensively minded to keep that clean sheet.
"But it wasn't to be today, we got the second goal which was nice and probably killed the game off at a really good time."
Joel Edwards remained sidelined and was wearing a 'boot' at the ground.
"Some of the lads have said he should wear that when he plays!
"The boot is just as precaution, he's not quite right yet and I don't think he'll be okay for Tuesday but perhaps for Saturday.
"We've managed to get through recent games without him and James has come in and shown he is a more than able deputy at left back.
"But it would be nice to have him fit sooner rather than later, we can't rush it."
