Former Northwich Victoria chairman Jim Rushe has been convicted of supplying Class A drugs. Rushe, whose son took over the chairmanship of the Vics last year, has been put on bail until May 6th but has been told he faces a 'substantial' jail sentence. FC United of Manchester have lost another Board member as their promblems continue. Having lost General Manager Andy Walsh last month, Adam Brown has now followed him out the door citing "an orchestrated campaign" against the Board.
Updated plans for the redevelopment of land around Yeovil's Huish Park home has seen plans for a retail store dropped. The club, which owns the land by the ground, had a previous attempt at getting planning permission denied in 2014, but will now apply for a larger hotel on the land along with a larger supporter bar and facilities for their Academy.
The Carlisle United Official Supporters Club have launched a £2million bid to take over the club, their second bid for the League Two side. The group already holds a 25.4% stake with a previous takeover proposal from an unnamed 'billionaire' having stalled since being announced 11 months ago.
Investigations into what happened to Northampton Town's Council loan money has led the BBC to claim that a local MP received £30,000 from 1st Land Ltd, one of the companies under scrutiny. Northampton South MP David Mackintosh, who was Northampton Borough Council leader when the loan was agreed, subsequently received the money towards his 'fighting fund' to retain the seat.
