I Thought It Was A Fantastic Game Said Beadle

In his post match press interview Hereford FC manager Peter Beadle thought last night's game at Alvechurch had been 'fantastic'.

"Difficult conditions but the pitch has played great to be fair but it was heavy as the game went on and I thought both teams left it out there on the pitch.

"I think they've all come in there now and dragged their bodies in and will be looking forward to a rest tonight but obviously both teams have got to get back to it on Saturday which is tough.

"But I thought we were great throughout the game tonight."

Beadle made a couple of subs taking wingers Bundu and Grant off.

"I got it wrong, changed it when I shouldn't have done and I apologised to the players for that. I think when we changed it we put the players under too much pressure and they got the goal which put them in the ascendency a little bit.

"So I held my hand up and told them I got it wrong but they got me out of it, so credit to them they got me out of a sticky situation."

It rained before kick-off.

"We saw a cloud coming over just before kick-off and it was like if that comes over and opens itself up it could be off again, but it wasn't too heavy and they've worked hard here.

"They've been great hosts, they've looked after us well and it was just a fantastic game, great atmosphere and I'm just glad we got through it in the end and kept ourselves in front."
