Peter Beadle Talking To The Squad After The Game This Afternoon |
Interviewer Terry Goodwin suggested that the win was 'relatively comfortable'.
"It's never comfortable," said Beadle
"I wasn't happy at halftime, not because of the scoreline but we've got to be more ruthless, and we could have been three up before we even scored a goal today.
"Sometimes you get away with it like we did today because we've managed to see the game out and were comfortable in the end.
"But we made it harder than it was.
"Second half once we got the second goal, the third goal, obviously you kill teams off a little bit.
"I just want to say from my point of view what a fantastic effort they've put in over the past ten days.
"To play away at Long Eaton on a Thursday night, then away at Dunkirk on the Saturday, at home on Tuesday in a tough game, then another big game on Thursday and to play today in the manner they did hats off to them, I thought they were fantastic today, all of them.
"They've done great up to now but we've got a nice few days rest now and I think the players are looking forward to that."
No Nathan Summers and Joel Edwards this afternoon.
"Joel just jarred his ankle a little bit on Thursday so he's only had 24 hours recovery. He did feel much better today but again we've got players to come in as no need to risk it.
"Nathan just felt his hamstring a little bit, just a bit tight so they are not major injuries, they are just injuries that are niggling and with only 24 between the games then it's ideal to give them a break. Hopefully they will both be fit for Wednesday."
Mustapha Bundu scored two of Hereford's goals this afternoon.
"As always the less said about Muss the better!
"Listen Muss is Muss and sometimes you've got to put up with that and at times today he wasn't great but his two finishes were excellent. Again he was the main culprit, he could have had two or three himself before he got on the scoresheet.

"But sometimes he can be infuriating because you know what he is capable of. But his performance was good and he got two goals so we're happy with him."
Four days off.
"Four days off, the lads won't know what to do with themselves.
"I've got to do more babies and nappies for four days now.
"The games have been thick and fast and it's important now we recover properly and ready for Wednesday.
"Again Wednesday is not going to be easy, it's going to be tough down there. Obviously Tuesday they got relegated so they've got nothing to fight for so they may relax a bit more.
"But we've got to make sure we go there and a bit more like the second half today and go and get the job done. That's what we've got to keep doing every game, just get the job done."
