After last night's 3-0 victory at Sporting Khalsa Hereford remain top of the Midland Premier League and Alvechurch manager Ian Long knows that the title race is Hereford's to lose.
“All we can do is keep pushing Hereford as hard as we can and see what happens," said Long.
“I would love if it all came down to the last match of the season but we must keep winning to do that.
“If we don’t win the league then it’s important to finish second just in case of the the other teams at step five cannot go up.”
Alvechurch have two games in hand over Hereford but must completye their fixtures by April 30th as things stand.
They play Bardon Hill on Saturday before entertaining Sporting Khalsa next Tuesday and welcoming Long Eaton next Thursday (both 7.45pm kick-offs).
And they'll be at Khalsa on Friday.
