Results Of Youth Team Games

Saturday 26th March Youth Results

Newport County U15s 0 - 5 Hereford FC U15s

10 men U15s defeat Newport County!!
The U15s produced a superb performance against Newport County and looked back to their best, raising their expectation bar even higher. Hereford played 65 minutes with 10 players after having a player sent off 15 minutes in to the game. The boys rallied together, work exceptionally hard and got their rewards with a great result and clean sheet! They defended very well, looked strong and compact and got behind the ball quickly to prevent Newport to only a few chances to score even with an extra player! In possession, they moved the ball quickly, moved it forward quickly and took their opportunities to score. Goals from Liam Bishop, Luke Marston, Jake Spink (2) and Oliver Purdy sealed a great win.

Stourbridge FC U12s 7 - 2 Hereford FC U12s

This friendly fixture was all about their 11v11 game development for the U12s so the result was never important. The U12s traveled to Stourbridge, who are an excellent side and it was always going to a great test for our U12s. This was their third game on 11v11 full pitch and they are developing quickly in their transition from 9v9 to 11v11 games. Hereford scored two excellent goals but more importantly are starting to look comfortable playing in new formations and on bigger pitches.

Gloucester City U14s 2 - 0 Hereford FC U14s

Hereford U14s traveled to Gloucester with a number of players missing. Hereford worked hard on a difficult pitch and in difficult conditions and will feel unfortunate to lose the game. A goal in the first 10 minutes and one in the final minute cost them but they were equally matched throughout the game and were the better team second half, missing a number of chances to score and prevented by some excellent saves from the Gloucester City Goalkeeper.
