More From Claridge

Steve Claridge
During his post match interview Salisbury manager Steve Claridge spoke about the two groups of players.

"They've got players who were know have played at a better level, are more experienced, know exactly what they are doing.

"We've got one or two players who have played in the Wessex League and probably looked like they played in the Weesex League today.

"Whereas they have probably got a team with a bit more experience, a bit more nous so hopefully we can redress the balance next week."

Hart Holding His Shoulder

Moments Later He Was Carried Off
One bit of bad luck for Salisbury was the injury to the shoulder of Callum Hart.

"He needs an operation.

"We took a risk, all I could do is go on what Callum told me and that was that he felt fine and wanted to go. And to be fair to Callum he had earned that start.

"But it didn't work out but I'm not going to kick myself, I'm not angry with him. I couldn't see that.

"At least we know next week exactly where we are and how we have to go about what we are trying to do."

Did you see enough today that you can do it next Saturday?

"I saw enough in periods but I didn't see enough from our good players. Their good players played better than our good players.

"That was the difference.

"We had one or two out there who were well, well below what we expect so there will be a few decisions to be made before next week.

"You don't get too many more chances at this level in these games, you have to get them right. We may have to try something different.

"I don't think there will be too many risks taken for maybe 45 minutes but then all of a sudden the game will be played in a half of the four halves and that's when you've got to look and say what do we need to do now.

"I don't think anyone is going to want to lose the game in the first half.

"We know we've got a chance but we've certainly got to ask more questions.

"As it was we haven't played well and we still had one or two real good opportunities."
