Hereford FC manager Peter Beadle was pleased with the seven goal win over Bardon Hill this afternoon and admitted that he had not seen that coming.
"No you don't ever see it coming when it happens like that," said Beadle in his post match interview with BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"I thought we did particularily well against the strong wind, it was difficult conditions first half. It seemed to settle down a little bit second half.
"But we talked again that our game management could have been a little bit better.
"But it was a good solid performance first half, Martin I think had one save to make down to his left.
"And then it was the case of making sure we made better decisions second half and getting an early goal settled everyone down, then it was a case of the lads doing what they do.
"I thought they were excellent today with the way they played, their management was better, and we looked really comfortable in the end."
Beadle make several changes to his starting eleven.
"I think some need to play regularily to tick over, some need a rest and we managed to do that again, we managed with the squad we've got that even with the changes the squad looks strong and the bench still looks again.
"So we've been fortunate with the squad we've put together, with the players so far touch wood are all still reasonably fit, no real injury problems.
"It was purely a case of making use of the squad and obviously as the games go by making sure everyone has got game time under their belt as what you don't want to do is have somebody sat on the bench for ten weeks and then asked to play when you are not really ready.
"So it is important that we use them to their full effectiveness and I thought we did that again on Tuesday and today."
Mustapha Bundu scored four of Hereford's seven goals.
"We were talking and said he had done nothing in the game and then he pops up and scores four goals!
"In the ninety minutes for me he did okay but he's put four in the back in the net and his second goal was a fantastic finish. And then he got on the end of two more and then he's done great.
"He needs to add more to the team, sometimes he needs to be a bit more reliable than he is but he is a talent, a fantastic talent and I glad for him today. So hopefully that will spur him on to be ready for Monday, if selected."
How important is the Alvechurch game on Monday?
"Whatever the outcome, it will have a bearing but not a huge bearing as there are still so many games to go. Last week, Tuesday night they scored quite late on, I think they've done it again today.
"They are a good side, they are not top of the league for no reason. they've only lost three games all season and they are showing their character scoring goals late in games when the pressure is on them to keep winning games and they've done that.
"Win, lose or draw on Monday, it's not over or done with no matter how it turns out."
