UITC Players Of The Month Along With Club Chairman Jon Hale |
Congratulations to our player of the months for February. A fantastic experience for them to be presented on
the pitch today with Jon Hale and then the lap of honour in front of a
packed Edgar street!! Well deserved award for all 6 players!!
U12 Sam Griffiths
Sams
positional play this month Sam has been really impressive. Sam is taking
on board tactical information given to him and developing his
understanding when not been in possession. Sam has been excellent in
possession of the ball and a real threat going forward, picking up 2
Gold awards and a goal when playing in midfield from the three games in
February. His Commitment and hard work has been exceptional and the
attitude he brings to training and matches has been a pleasure to
watch.
U13 Jamie Payne
Jamie's
commitment to training has been exceptional and it is clear that
Jamie has taken on board all the feedback given at his player review and
applied it in both training and games. Jamie's recent performances have
been recognized by opposition coaches who have praised him a lot,
commenting on his excellent receiving priorities and range of passing.
Jamie was instrumental in midfield in our recent 5-0 win over Newport
County, breaking up play and instigating fast counter attacks. He also
put in a man of the match display against South Gloucester.
U14 Ollie Guinane
Ollie has performed exceptionally well this month, even though he is currently playing up an age group. Ollie always works extremely hard and has shown his adaptability by playing in a number of positions this month. Whilst
contributing with goals in attacking positions, Ollie also makes some
fantastic blocks, tackles and interceptions within defensive scenarios
on a weekly basis. His technical ability is
developing every week and his psychological and social skills are very
impressive as he has adapted very well, whilst playing with and against
older players.
U15 Joe Mellars
Joe has
played consistently well this month and has played in two positions,
taking on different responsibilities and has been adaptable
and excellent in both. Joe's work-rate both in training and games has
been excellent which has resulted in his excellent performances and
highly praised by the opposition managers. He has a great attitude to
'be the best he can' and a willingness to listen and learn and help
others develop too. Joe has has been influential
to the success of the U15s this season.
U16 George Hayes
George has shown a great
attitude in training and games which has resulted in some
excellent, highly praised performances this month. His work-rate and
ball control has been excellent, making some excellent decisions when in
possession and controlling the play very well. His performances have
been very consistent and praised by everyone.
U18s Matt Macdonald
Matt has match performances have been superb and he continues to raise
his standards in all areas of his game. He has been consistent in
training and games, showing a great attitude and work ethic to be the
best he can. Matt is always creative in possession, has tremendous ball
retention and has the ability play all types of passes especially when
under pressure.
