There will be one minute of applause at Edgar Street before Saturday's FA Vase game.

Ricky George played alongside him and has written this tribute to him.
Mike McLaughlin typified the type of player the Giantkillers were.
Professional , hard working and committed with a touching sense of
loyalty to each other.
Macca was a no frills footballer, like the late
Roger Griffiths; win the ball , give it to a colleague as quickly as
possible and return to his position.
At 5 feet 8 inches , the central
defender was often marking a player several inches taller than himself
but you wouldn't have known it. He was hard, literally. Not an ounce of
fat and bones like iron . As a forward I hated playing against Mick but
it was a real confidence booster to line up on the same side.
He threw
himself into tackles, always fairly , and threw his body at everything
and anything for the team.
Off the field Mick was amiable, almost quiet
and thoughtful , liked a beer and was, most definitely a man's man .
Over the 43 years plus since our great day , thanks to Colin Addison, we
have had several re-unions .
Mike McLaughlin aged well and we always
chuckled at how fit he continued to be . I can't quite believe he has
gone. Farewell to the iron man, it was a privilege to have known you and
to have shared so much.
