This afternoon's game was 'a great exercise for us' said Hereford FC manager Peter Beadle in his post match press conference after his side defeated Bromyard 6-0 in the quarter final of the HFA Cup.
"We spoke before the game about making sure we do things properly, putting out a team in which there were a lot of players who needed some minutes. It was great for that.
"Hopefully we've got away unscathed, Joe took a little knock at the end but hopefully he'll be fine.
"Job done for us. Ninety minutes for a lot of players that needed it.
"Through to the next round which is great, keeps the run going, so just a good exercise for us."
Beadle made a few changes for the game, some because of injuries.
"The ones that didn't play today probably wouldn't have played anyway today, they are the ones that were missing. The only one that might have played had he been fit is Page because he can't play next weekend. But he's still not quite right but he's getting there.
"Jimmy pulled out on Friday, just a little bit tight.
"We don't want to take risks with anybody so to give them a rest."
As to the game itself?
"I thought the boys did well but first half a bit disappointed, it wasn't fluent enough for me. Second half was much better. Some of the goals were excellent, some of the play was really good for the goals
"But as I said after the game, to play for me I expect them to reach certain standards and I want them to develope as players and as a team.
"Today at half time we didn't have words but it was firm. It wasn't 3-0 up and cruising it was a case of look I want to see a performance, I want to see players develope their game.
"So we discussed a few things at half-time which we did better second half so really pleased in the end."
