Beadles Boys Tame Battling Bromyard

Despite having a team short of several first call players, Hereford FC overcame Bromyard Town 6-0 in the HFA Challenge Cup quarter final played at Edgar Street this afternoon.

Dylan Bonella, followed by Harvey Rivers and Jamie Willets
In the absence of Joel Edwards, out with a shoulder injury, Dylan Bonella captained the side which was also without Ryan Green, Rob Purdie, Jimmy Oates and Adam Page.

As is usual this season, Hereford played towards the Blackfriars End in the first half. Conditions whilst dry were very gusty.

Hereford had several early chances. Jamie Willets managed to get his head on the end of the ball but it went wide.

Nathan Hughes Back In The Starting Eleven
Nathan Hughes had a chance but headed over. And another chance minutes later but he couldn't get his shot away.

Joe Tumelty, playing at right back came, close to goal with the ball at his feet. However the Bromyard keeper kept it out with the legs.

Mustapha Bundu Is Brought Down
Hereford's first goal came after the keeper brought down Mustapha Bundu. The referee pointed to the spot and Pablo Haysham made no mistake sending the keeper the wrong way.

However the youngster soon made amends.  Gathering the ball about twenty yards out, he soon passed his marker and unleashed a shot which left the keeper stranded.

The second half started like the first with Hereford having most of the possession but not finishing off chances. Grant was denied by the foot of the onrushing substitute Bromyard keeper and Bundu also missed a chance moments later.

Haysham Scores His Third Of The Game
The fourth goal came after a cross from the right by Hughes met Haysham and the ex-Didcot player easily put the ball past the keeper and into the net.
