Newport's Supporters Trust have successfully taken over the club, reporting a total raised more than £40,000 over their target after a strong final day. Their first action was to sack manager Terry Butcher and his backroom staff this evening after the club's dismal start to the season. They hope to name a new manager before Saturday's game with Exeter.
Jon Taylor has been announced as the new manager at Bedford Town.
