Skin Cancer Support Worker Part Funded By BN

Macmillan Cancer Support has confirmed that the £48,600 raised from the Bulls News managed car park at this year's Hay Festival will be used to help fund a new post at Hereford Hospital.

"Macmillan provides practical, emotional and financial support to those living with cancer in the county," said Emma Garvey, Macmillan's fundraising manager for Herefordshire.

"As an example of the services we provide in the county, the £48,600 raised this year will help Macmillan fund a new two year post for a Skin Cancer Support Worker at Hereford County Hospital."

Meanwhile Hereford FC sponsors Jewson will be aiming to raise funds for Macmillan at next Saturday's match against Boldmere St Michael at Edgar Street.

They will have staff with buckets collecting donations both inside and outside the ground and will also sell tickets for competition on the pitch at half-time.
