News Round-Up

Kidderminster have cut prices for their home match this Saturday after dropping to the bottom of the National League table after only three draws in their opening seven games. Striker Craig Reid, one of their highest paid players, has agreed a mutual departure from the club but Chairman Rod Brown says there will be no new money for manager Gary Whild until after Christmas.

Worcester have reacted to their poor start to the season by signing veteran striker Lee Hughes. The 39 year old had joined Ilkeston in the Northern League Premier at the start of the season, scoring three times in four games. Former Bulls keeper Jose Veiga has signed for Nantwich Town. The 38 year old had been coaching with Tamworth in recent weeks.

Newport have bagged a reported £100,000 transfer fee after selling youngster Regan Poole to Man Utd. The deal means the sum the Supporters Trust needs to cover debts as part of their takeover has dropped by £30,000. The Trust have set a deadline of the end of September for funds to be raised, with them reporting that they have secured £37,000 so far in the opening seven days of the campaign. The target is now £195,000.

Rocester have signed four players in reaction to their poor start to the season. Tom Fogg, Dan Brown, Liam Sowter, and Mark Grimley have all come in after they lost their opening four matches. Bath City's bid for a supporters takeover has raised £260,000 of their £750,000 target. The fundraising is due to close on Friday.
