News Round-Up

Sligo Rovers have signed former Bulls loanee Jennison Myrie-Williams on a deal until the end of the Irish season in October. The 27 year old has previously played for Sligo boss Micky Adams at Tranmere and Port Vale. Marlon Jackson has joined Tranmere from Oxford City. The 24 year old made his debut as a sub in their 2-1 loss at Altrincham on Saturday after exercising a clause in his Oxford contract allowing him to leave on a free transfer if a higher graded side came in for him.

Macclesfield have apologised to supporters after having to close a side of their ground after a number of stewards failed to turn up for their game with Chester on Saturday. Carlisle's Supporters Trust now has a membership of 1,700 after all but nine of the club's 1,500 Season Ticket holders were automatically enrolled in the Trust, which has now been renamed the Official Supporters Club and holds a 25.4% stake in the club.

Newport's hopes of a supporter takeover may be boosted by the potential sale of two young footballers. Aaron Collins and Regan Poole have been subject of bids from Hull and Burnley respectively that combined would put £100,000 into the coffers at Rodney Parade. The Exiles are reported to have rejected the bids as they want more for the teenage pair.

Westfields have signed Sam Archer-Plane from Wellington. The defender played against Hereford FC for Wellington in pre-season, having previously worked as a coach for UITC.
