Hereford FC chairman Jon Hale took his daughter to her first football match at Rocester yesterday. Given the score after just twelve minutes was 3-0 to the home side, she might not see many better turnarounds for a long time.
Hale himself was relieved to get the three points.
"Absolutely incredible, that second half," Hale told BN.
"I think there were a few moaning at half time that players needed to show a bit of passion but second half we were absolutely outstanding.
"The substitutes made a difference. I thought Dylan came on and shored up the midfield. He wanted the ball in there and he wanted to organise it in there and I thought that made a difference.
"They changed the game a little bit but I think it was the upping of the tempo.
"We played the ball on the floor second half and we tired them out and they couldn't cope with us when we played it on the floor.
"As the game went on you started to believe it could happen.
"I'm delighted for my daughter because it's first game today and she'll never forget it!"
Looking ahead to Tuesday's night game at Edgar Street, Hale said it would have been difficult if they had lost at Rocester.
"Understandably supporters have been frustrated with the last two games but, to be honest, even at Highgate I thought we should have got a draw out of it.
"We've had a very very bad first fifteen minutes here but we've shown tremendous character to come back and I think supporters will really appreciate that effort.
"So I hope that results in a good turn-out on Tuesday.
