News Round-Up

AFC Rushden and Diamonds have been allowed to omit the no.1 shirt from their lineup following an appeal to the FA after the Southern League refused permission for their keeper to wear no.17. Both the reformed club and former club stopped using the no.1 shirt in honour of former keeper Dale Roberts, with the new club being allowed to wear no.17 while they won their Step 5 league last season.

Swindon have been fined £1,000 and 'severely warned' after being found guilty by the FA of an illegal approach for Redditch's Jermaine Hylton. The 22 year old moved to the Robins in January. Coleshill Town have signed winger Chris Cowley from Chasetown. He spent last season with MFL Div 1 side Bolehall Swifts, scoring 11 times, joining the Step 4 side earlier in the summer.

Telford say they have taken down a model of a bucks head from above the players tunnel in the hope of breaking a run of poor home form that is believed to have started when the model was put in place last season. Bardon Hill have signed forward Matt Brown. The 30 year old has spent the last two summers playing in the US, and previously played for Coleshill Town.
