Blackpool's owners have ignored the Supporters Trust bid for the club. The Trust placed a deadline of Tuesday on their £16million bid to 'rescue' the club from the Oyston family, but they now say they never received a response. The Trust say their offer remains on the table and will be in accordance to the wishes of their members.

The Supporters Trust takeover of Newport has 'a long way to go' before it is complete with Supporters Direct saying that the Trust members have to show they are willing to support the project and invest funds. A meeting will be held of members on Friday to hear of the needs with James Mathie of Supporters Direct saying there is a 'fair amount of work' still to be done despite former owner Les Scadding gifting his shares to the Trust. Mathie says he will talk of the 'magnitude of what needs to happen before the supporters can own their club.'

Southend are facing another winding up petition from HMRC. The petition, published today, was issued ten days ago and will be heard in mid-September. The club have received a succession of petitions from the taxman over the past few years. Grimsby boss Paul Hurst named himself in their starting line up as they beat Brigg Town 6-0 in a friendly on Wednesday night. The 40 year old's pro playing career ended in 2008.

Kidderminster are considering switching their home friendly with Shrewsbury next Tuesday away from Aggborough due to continuing problems with their pitch. Summer work has seen the pitch yet to fully grow, causing Worcester to move their County Cup game with Redditch this coming Saturday to the home of Bromsgrove - causing Harriers' own match that day to be moved to Evesham. That game will kick off at 11am as Evesham's pitch is hosting Gloucester in the afternoon.

Lincoln are being sued for £50,000 by former England international Gary Charles over claims of unpaid wages from a stint as assistant manager he had at the club in 2011/12. Charles claims the club paid him only £1200 in travelling expenses in a five month period after being promised a paid job by then manager David Holdsworth. The case is being heard at Lincoln County Court.
