News Round-Up


Newport boss Terry Butcher claims he is struggling to field a side this weekend with the club only having 15 signed players. Having seen their budget nearly halved over the summer, the Exiles released all but five of last term's squad. North Ferriby are reported to be no longer up for sale. Owners Steve and Eman Foster have appointed themselves as co-chairmen as well. 

Blackpool's pre-season campaign is falling apart after a planned trip to Morecambe was called off following the organisation of a protest by supporters against the club's owners. An earlier game at Lancaster had been abandoned in the second half due to a pitch invasion with supporters now planning a bid for the club worth a reported £16million.

A winding up petition against Bideford has been dismissed after the Southern League Premier side reached agreement with HMRC over outstanding payments. Forest Green have unveiled plans for their planned new stadium just off the M5. The site will also contain a number of 4G pitches and offices for up to 4,000 jobs in an 'eco park'.
