News Round-Up

MFL newcomers Heanor Town have signed striker Jamie Clarke from Holbeach. The former Accrington and Lincoln striker scored 16 times in 33 games last season for the Step 5 side, and says he made the switch for family reasons with his work head office in Heanor. The Lions have had a change in management with assistant boss Jamie Baker stepping down temporarily due to his forthcoming wedding.

Torquay's Commercial Manager says his group will pay the five-figure bond required by the Conference at this weekend's AGM. Talks are still ongoing with Dean Edwards putting out a call for further support. He told the BBC they may not complete a deal until Monday and that "This place is on the life support machine, and the finger's on the switch." Meanwhile the club's Supporters Trust say they will not fund the club's youth section or any other part of the club unless they get at least part ownership.

Barrow have announced they will switch to full time football with immediate effect. The club have trained part-time since being relegated out of the Conference two years ago, but will revert to full time status after the club's Board held a meeting via Skype. Ex-Bull Michael Rankine has joined Altrincham for the coming season. He teams up with fellow ex-Bull Josh O'Keefe, having had a disappointing season at Gateshead where he made just 15 starts in all competitions.
