News Round-Up

In Tuesday night's football, Matt Done scored for Sheff Utd as they beat Colchester. Mark Marshall scored for Port Vale as they lost at Bristol City. Tom Nichols scored for Exeter as they drew with Cambridge. Kyle Perry scored for Altrincham as they lost at Macclesfield. Bath City are through to the FA Trophy Semi-Finals after beating Dover 2-1 in their replay. Wrexham are also through after beating Halifax 1-0.

Hartlepool's prospective new owners tried to get Jeff Stelling to be the club's new President. He told the press:  “I think they wanted to use me to give them some respectability. They asked if I could be at Saturday’s game – showed how much they knew about me! I didn’t hear from them after that day.”

Bristol Rovers' court date with Sainsburys to force the supermarket to buy their Memorial Ground home has been set for mid-May after being fast-tracked. The supermarket say they can pull out of the £30m deal as conditions were not met by the club. The club asked for the fast-track as they fear the local university will pull out of the project if there are further delays.
