The sale of Hartlepool United to a group with links to Tommy Agombar has collapsed.
The deal was announced on December 17th for current owners IOR to sell to TMH 2014. The consortium was led by Peter Harris but the other members were not named. Harris had previous dealings with Stephen Murrall, who was one of the people to visit Herefordshire Council offices alongside Jed McCrory, with the pair having been at Swindon Town with Agombar.
Harris is reported to have not turned up to recent games and, despite a late surge of transfer activity in the January window, IOR were reported to still be paying the bills at Victoria Park.
A brief statement appeared on the club's website this afternoon, confirming Ken Hodcroft would remain as chairman.
