It was as though there were three sets of supporters at Aggborough last night, but as one Kidderminster supporter told BBC Hereford and Worcester there was a lot of sympathy for the current plight of Hereford United.
"It was very unusual to have three sets of fans," said Kiddy supporter Carl Davies.
"A great show of solidarity from the Harriers fans.
"I think every body behaved themselves very well and I think the Hereford fans got their points over.
"We can sympathise and understand their position.
"There is always that spectre hanging over you when you have financial problems and dubious people hanging about looking to take over your football club and their intentions are not always clear.
"Hereford are our neighbours and we are missing two local derbies which from a financial point of view is a disaster.
"We will do everything we can to help them in their hour of need.
"In the twenty fourth minute we started clapping for a minute to mark the 90th anniversary of Hereford being founded.
"That was the least we could do to support them.
"We do understand it is a very difficult situation for them and we hope it is resolved to the satisfaction of the true Hereford fans."
Meanwhile Chris Williams the chairman of HUST also spoke to BBC H&W.
"I think the turnout was exceptional.
"It was a filthy night earlier on which might have put a few people off.
"But I think the attendance is great and the efforts that the fans are going to to support the club that we all love is fantastic.
"The first person to phone me up when the financial troubles started was the chairman of Kidderminster Harriers Football Trust.
"We really thank them for what they have done."
