The group that have attempted to wrest control of Salisbury from Moroccan owner Otail M Touzar says it has dropped legal action to gain control of the club after it went into Administration.
They say the club, with no league to play in and continued doubt over it's future, is not salvageable and they prefer to put their efforts and money into forming a new club that will likely start in the Wessex League.
The move for a new club cannot start until the Administration process completes, with the group warning that it could be some time before they can move forwards and secure the Ray McEnhill stadium.
Touzar is expected to be declared bankrupt after failing to pay a £1,752 Court bill.
Meanwhile former Wrexham and Chester boardroom menace Mark Guterman has been declared bankrupt by Manchester County Court. Guterman was listed as unemployed on the notice, having previously resided in Monaco.
