Please Support The Bulls This Afternoon

Hereford United take on Woking at Edgar Street this afternoon and the board are hoping as many supporters as possible will come to the game as the club still needs all the income it can amass at present.

It's also most important that the team does their very best to pick up three points as the Bulls are just one point above the relegation zone. The more support they receive always helps.

Whilst the HMRC will receive the £78K it is currently owed on Monday, it won't be long before another demand has to be paid.

Even more important than the next HMRC demand is the fact that players and staff haven't received all their February wages as yet.

So a lot of any money raised over and above the £78K is expected to be used to help players and staff without whom there would be no club.

Yesterday directors Dave Preedy and Colin Addison along with club secretary Lee Symonds all spoke to the Press.

They all stated that the club financial troubles are far from over and fundraising would need to continue.

One way of helping is by going to this afternoon's game.

Meanwhile the 'Big Bike Ride 2014' starts at around 8.30am this morning. This event is being staged to raise funds for the Hereford United Community Trust.

The riders are set to end the ride inside Edgar Street just before kick-off against Woking.

Finally it's good to see the Starlite Rooms has become such a popular venue, and not only for sports related events.

This morning local MP, Jesse Norman, will be opening the New University of Herefordshire planning event at 10 am in the Starlite Rooms.
