News Round-Up


Kidderminster have failed in their appeal against James Dance's red card in their win over Forest Green on Tuesday. The midfielder will serve an immediate three match ban as a result. Gainsborough's expulsion from the FA Cup has been upheld after the FA appeals panel found no reason to overturn the decision to eject them for fielding an ineligible player. Trinity manager Steve Housham has called the decision 'farcical'.

Macclesfield shareholders have voted through a motion to convert the club into a Community Interest Company at an EGM last night. The move will now be ratified with the relevant authorities. Cambridge have extended the loan of forward Kwesi Appiah into a second month. The Crystal Palace man has scored three times in seven games during his first month.

Coventry's holding company have filed accounts for the 2011/12 season that show the club lost £2million during that season. The accounts show that they have also taken loans of nearly £6million since then with a note from the accountants that the club will require ongoing funding from it's owners to continue. 

Woking boss Garry Hill has accused former Bulls forward Gavin McCallum of 'sulking' after leaving him out of the club's matchday squad for a couple of recent games. Hill is reported to have told McCallum and midfielder Lee Sawyer to train with the youth team after displaying a bad attitude, and the pair are 'not part of the plan going forward'.
