Bulls legend Jimmy Harvey has left Stalybridge Celtic by mutual consent.
Stalybridge's official site reports:
Stalybridge Celtic today announces that Jim Harvey has left his position as First Team Manager by mutual consent.
Jim
joined us in February 2010 and has had two promotion-challenging teams
in that period. He has been a major driver in the youth policy that we
have developed and he was instrumental in our change to a full time
structure.
I
would like to put on record our sincere appreciation for all the hard
work that Jim has put in over the past 3 1/2 years and we wish him every
success in his future career.
Harvey, now 55, was the chief architect behind Morecambe's rise from the regional leagues, and had spells with Chester and Forest Green before transforming the part-time Conf North outfit he inherited.
This season the ambitious side had a disappointing start to the campaign, collecting only 11 points from their opening 10 games.
