News Round-Up

Ricoh Arena owners ACL have again called on the FA to get involved in the Coventry saga after leaked documents proved that the club had held player registrations with both companies of the club. The Sky Blues had insisted that all contracts were held with the unaffected Holdings company, but the bankrupt company is shown to have held many registrations in leaked documents sent to the press. ACL say the Football League allowed the position to happen against it's rules and is now compromised in the situation.

Ryman Premier side Maidstone have released its financial details, and called on other clubs to be more transparent. The club gets an average gate of 1,698 and turned over £1.1million in it's first full year with 3G pitches, clubhouse, and Academy adding to income. The 3G pitch generated £110,000 of direct income, with estimates of another £100,000 in ancillary income from it's use through clubhouse use for functions. The Stones made a full year profit of £180,000.

Farnborough have been given the go ahead to start their Conf South season after meeting Conference demands. A statement says the club have met the FA's Standardised Rules and complied with 13 additional demands from the Conference. They will begin their season on Saturday at home to Dover, with five games having been postponed.

Tamworth say they have received international clearance for ex-Bulls loanee Lateef Elford-Aaliyu. The former West Brom trainee had a months loan in Iceland after the English season ended, but then club Crawley failed to bring his registration back to the country. Tamworth have also signed winger Mark Wright on a short term deal as he looks to return to the Football League. The 31 year old was released by Shrewsbury in the summer.

Kidderminster have signed striker Amari Morgan-Smith on a short term deal. The 24 year old spent last season with Macclesfield, spending February on loan at Aggborough, and was on trial at Luton earlier this week.
