News Round-Up

Calderdale Council have received an offer to buy the Shay, home of Halifax. The offer comes from Tony Abbott, a director of co-tenants Halifax RLFC, who says he wants to secure the future of both teams with lower rents. Nuneaton are to sign Peterborough teenager Michael Richens on loan until January. The 18 year old full back is yet to make his senior debut after signing a three year deal last summer.

Barnet chairman Tony Kleanthous says the club's membership scheme, which has replaced season tickets, has doubled the number of people signing up for the season. They sold just over 500 season tickets - their best ever figure - last season but have nearly 1,100 members signed up on their monthly payment scheme.

The Conference have unveiled Wash & Go as the official shampoo supplier to Conference clubs. The deal will see shampoo supplied to the 68 member clubs, and the brand support a number of grassroots initiatives.
