Mills Favourite To Manage Gateshead

Gateshead are expected to appoint a new manager this week, ahead of the visit of Hereford United on Saturday.

David Rush has been in charge for the last two weeks and stands a chance of getting the job on a permanent basis after his side have taken four points from their last two games.

Gary Mills is the bookies favourite. The former York City and Notts County boss watched Gateshead win at Woking last Saturday.

Others said to be in the frame are former Wimbledon and Aldershot boss Terry Brown and former Mansfield manager David Holdsworth.
