Former Bulls keeper James Bittner has signed for former club Salisbury until the end of the season.
The 31 year old rejoins the Whites as player/coach, after his month long deal with Newport expired two weeks ago, with boss Mikey Harris telling their official site:
“James returning to the club is magnificent news. He’s a great goalkeeper with a wealth of experience at this level. James' arrival will benefit both Will Puddy and Monty George. It's exciting for me as manager to have competition for the role and I am looking forward to working with James."
Bittner added: "It's great to be back at the Ray Mac. The demotion following a fantastic season in the conference last time round was an awful situation for everyone involved. I am delighted that the club is back where it belongs. I was obviously keeping tabs on the clubs progress moving back up the leagues and what Mikey, Daz and the Chairman have achieved in the last few years is nothing short of a miracle. Hopefully I can play my part in helping the Gaffer to keep the club moving forward.”
Bittner spent three seasons with the club until the summer of 2010 when he moved to Forest Green. He joined the Bulls last summer, making 34 Conference appearances, but was released in the summer after Martin Foyle opted not to offer him a new deal.
The Bulls travel to Salisbury for a game, televised on BT Sport, on Thursday, October 31st.
