The ongoing Coventry saga shows no sign of stopping, with the club telling their ballboys their services won't be required for the coming season as they'll be using Northampton's set. Stadium owners ACL are to sue Northampton for allegedly stealing their customer, with their contract with the club still technically in force, but the Cobblers have rejected the claim. Meanwhile, 700 fans that turned out for the Sky Blues' friendly at Nuneaton released black balloons and banners against owners SISU.
Aldershot's Administrator expects a deal to sell the club to be concluded today, but the Shots face a new problem after Farnborough threatened to sue them over a cancelled friendly match. The Conf South side say the Shots promised a first team squad to visit them next week as part of a 2011 transfer deal. They cancelled the game when the Shots said they would send a youth side, with the first team in action elsewhere, and their neighbours are now claiming £7,000 in lost revenue.
Cambridge are reported to be set to sign midfielder Connor Hall from Bury Town once the teenager recovers his fitness. The 19 year old trialled for Leyton Orient last season, and also interested Charlton. Nuneaton's stadium will be named after a local brewery after they won the draw for naming rights. The club admitted sales of the £300 tickets for the draw were not as strong as expected.
Southport have signed defender Matty Flynn and midfielder Scott Brown for the coming season. Flynn, 24, spent last season with Barrow while Brown, 28, started last season at Macclesfield but spent most of the season with Chester. Grimsby are trialling two keepers ahead of the new season. 20 year old Tom Turner was previously with Bolton's Academy, while Jake Turner, also 20, spent last season with Lincoln.
Dartford have signed forward Jason Prior for the coming season. The 24 year old striker played nine times for the Darts on loan from Wimbledon near the end of last season, scoring once. The liquidator of the company that used to run Port Vale is to seek up to £350,000 from former directors Peter Miller and Perry Deakin for the 'nil paid' shares they received in the club. The liquidator also says his investigation is in conjunction with the Police.
Lincoln have signed midfielder Bohan Dixon on a one year deal after he hit a hat-trick in Saturday's win over Lincoln United. The 23 year old spent last season with Accrington, making one start and seven sub appearances.
