The Financial Conduct Authority has accepted the Constitution of the Supporters Trust, meaning it is now a legal entity.
Supporters Direct confirmed the news late this afternoon that the FCA had approved the bid and the organisation is now a fully registered Industrial and Provident Society.
The Trust can now seek to register a bank account, and will be able to take memberships once that has been processed.
It will all be officially launched on the Launch Night on August 29th in the Starlite Rooms, while members of the working group are hoped to be able to hand out leaflets detailing the Trust's aims at the club's Open Day on July 21st.
