News Round-Up

Lincoln have continued their squad shake-up by releasing striker Colin Larkin. The former Hartlepool and Northampton forward netted eight times in 34 games this season. Telford have loaned ex-Bull Kris Taylor to Hednesford until the end of the season, and extended the loan of Cheltenham's Bagasan Graham to the end of the season.

Chester have denied claims that the club needs average attendances of 3,000 after a club director moaned about only getting a gate of 800 for their County Cup game with Tranmere. Plymouth are claimed by the national press to be the next target of Ken Bates. The 81 year old is due to leave his chairman role at Leeds this summer after selling them at the end of last year.

Gloucester have found benefactors to cover their outstanding rent with Cheltenham, and cover payments to the end of the season. The offer of around £20,000 is dependent on the two clubs agreeing a lease for next season. Swindon have failed to pay the coaching staff of former boss Paolo Di Canio. The group were told they would be paid up at the end of February but are still waiting, with the Robins declining to comment on the situation.

Bury boss Kevin Blackwell says '6 or 7' of his players are not earning the national minimum wage. He told the press ahead of this weekend's game with Portsmouth that "I had one or two letters from people saying: 'These players get well paid.' Let me tell you, there was a lot of players here getting paid nothing and then some are paid £100 and £200 a week. You get more than that on the dole. They've shown their pride – they're not going to sign on the dole, they want to give it a go. They want to get their careers back on line."

Grimsby have signed Hull midfielder Dougie Wilson on loan for the remainder of the season. The 19 year old made his Hull debut in a FA Cup tie in January. Ebbsfleet have resigned striker Matt Godden on loan from Scunthorpe. The 21 year old scored three goals in five games in a loan spell with the Fleet earlier in the season before being recalled.

Bury director David Manchester says there is only a short term cashflow issue at Gigg Lane, with the club on it's second PFA loan of the season. He told the press the club had to take the latest loan 'to get us through the next 2-3 months'. Evo-Stik NPL side Ilkeston have reported a loss of £300,000 for last season. The side was bought out of Administration by a sports education provider that has built a new education centre at the club's ground.
