Martin Foyle Looking Pleased With Taking A Point |
Hereford United manager Martin Foyle was pleased to get a point at Luton yesterday afternoon given he had to cope with two of his strikers missing through illness and injury.
But in his post match interview with BBC Hereford and Worcester, Foyle questioned whether Luton's goal should have stood.
"And It's offside.
"There's no question about it.
"There were two people in front of Bitts there. The Lad has just raised his leg.
"You can see why the players have complained to the linesman.
"So it's cruel!
"First half I thought we were outstanding. Again we had to change formation
"Second half I thought we defended well with Bitts making a couple of great saves at the right times.
"And when we broke away we've hit the bar and had a couple of half-chances.
"Probably draw is a fair result but first half I thought we should have been 2-0 up, no question.
"The front three worked so hard for the team."
Marlon Jackson scored Hereford's goal mid-way through the first half.
"Marlon has got that knack of holding the ball and then just a little change of pace and he drifted in between two and it was a good finish.
"To come to a place like this, a team that is a million miles from where we are, it's a good point but disappointing we didn't get three."
